 GFA Winner Rovshan Mamedkuliev

This classical guitar concert will be held in the intimate Stage Three  Recital Hall - where "the acoustics are perfect!"
Rovshan Mamedkuliev has premiered many new works for classical guitar. Rovshan also performs his own arrangements. He released an arrangement of music by Russian composers (Masters of Russian Composition: Alexander Borodin and Anatoly Lyadov, MelBay Publications, USA, 2014) and an arrangement of the music by his native Azerbaijani composer (Fikret Amirov. 6 Miniatures, LACG Editions, USA, 2015).

A number of works are recorded by Rovshan on CDs: his first professional CD “Con Anima” (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, 2011), a guitar recital CD at the Laureate Series on the prestigious label Naxos (Toronto, Canada, 2012), a solo CD “Semi-Awake, Semi-Dream” on the Contrastes Records (Sevilla, Spain, 2015). In January of 2016 Rovshan Mamedkuliev recorded his second CD on Naxos (Toronto, Canada). Expect music from multiple eras and countries and a surprise or two. Limited seating

Opening for Acoustic Guitar Summit:
A guitar-filled explosion of talent and festive music for the Holidays happens the third Sunday in December! Spend a couple hours in the afternoon delighting in the annual SGS Holiday Concert - where for this year we've hired a GREAT trio of guitar masters, soloists working together in a very special concert of steel-string magic. Read about the members.
Opening as usual for our guest artists will be the orchestra made entirely of classical guitars, under the direction of Sean O'Connor. The community orchestra is one of several program SGS produces and is the only one of its kind north of LA in California. Each year an entertaining and creative program is presented.
Don't miss this year's pairing of the the SGSO's set and AGS in the second half. Your donation of $20 supports our programs!
Enter the lot on O between 24th and 25th.
