Many Hands Make Light Work - Volunteer!
The Sacramento Guitar Society was established to promote and share the art of the classical guitar and its music by providing education and performance opportunities to people of diverse cultures, ages, abilities. We provide access to:

•performance opportunities
•guitar-related information
•sight-reading sessions
•concerts (discounted)
•master classes
•mutual support
•good music!

It takes coordinated effort to make the bigger events happen - if the work of the Society is something you could support in some way, let us know! Two projects we have that always need maintenance are
1) outreach and survey of guitar teachers in the greater Sacramento region - let them know about SGS - get them listed (for free!) on our teacher listing, and especially connect with classically trained guitar teachers and their students
2) find venues such as schools and convalescent hospitals where guitarists can introduce the classical guitar and lift spirits at the same time

If you want to produce an event like a workshop, recital/concert/open mic or party but have no experience - no problem - we'll help!
